36exp Photography Ltd
Booking Terms & Conditions (Courses, Workshops & Holidays)
These Booking Conditions apply to all bookings made with 36exp Photography Ltd, including:
- short workshops (1 day or less)
- multi-day courses
- photography holidays and trips (2 consecutive days or more)
Please read these carefully before booking.
—
1. General
When you book with 36exp, you are agreeing to these terms.
We run small group photography experiences. Places are limited, and once booked, your place is taken out of availability. Late cancellations mean we often cannot fill the space.
For that reason, the financial impact of late changes sits with the person who booked.
—
2. Payment
For workshops and short courses, full payment is required at the time of booking.
For photography holidays and multi-day trips, a deposit is required to secure your place. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be shown on the trip page or your invoice.
The remaining balance must be paid by the date stated in your booking confirmation. If full payment is not received on time, we may treat your booking as cancelled and apply the cancellation terms below.
—
3. Cancellation & changes — short courses (1 day or less)
- 21+ days before → full refund or free date change
- 14–20 days before → no refund, date change allowed with 33% fee
- 13 days or less / no show → no refund, no changes
Gift vouchers follow the same rules.
—
4. Cancellation & changes — holidays and multi-day trips (2+ consecutive days)
This includes all photography holidays and trips.
Deposits and balance payments are non-refundable.
- 90+ days before departure → no refund of deposit, remaining balance can be credited or date changed (33% admin fee applies)
- 89 days or less → no refund of any payments, no changes permitted
These terms apply to:
- deposits
- balance payments
- gift voucher bookings
This reflects the fact that trips are planned in advance, spaces are limited, and late cancellations cannot realistically be replaced.
—
5. Ongoing courses
- 21+ days before start → full refund or free date change
- 14–20 days → no refund, change allowed with 33% fee
- 13 days or less → no refund
No refunds for cancellations once a course has started.
—
6. If we cancel or change a trip
If 36exp cancels or reschedules a course, workshop or trip, our liability is limited to a full refund of the amount paid.
We may make small changes to itineraries where needed due to:
- weather
- light conditions
- access
- local logistics
These are part of running photography trips and do not qualify for refunds.
—
7. What your booking includes (holidays)
Photography holidays typically include:
- photography tuition and guidance
- planned shoots and locations
- group coordination
They do not include (unless clearly stated):
- flights
- accommodation
- airport transfers
- meals
- travel insurance
For example, on some trips you book your own flights and hotel, and we provide the photography experience and guidance.
—
8. Travel responsibility
You are responsible for:
- booking your own travel (unless stated otherwise)
- arriving on time at the agreed meeting point
- having valid passport/visa where required
If you miss part of the trip, no refund will be given.
—
9. Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all trips.
You should ensure it covers:
- cancellation
- travel disruption
- medical issues
—
10. Fitness & participation
Photography trips may involve:
- early starts
- walking
- carrying equipment
- working in varying weather conditions
You are responsible for ensuring you are able to take part.
—
11. Flexibility (important for holidays)
Photography trips are not fixed itineraries.
We actively adapt based on:
- light
- weather
- conditions
This is part of getting better photos and is a core part of the experience.
—
12. Behaviour
You are expected to behave in a way that:
- respects others in the group
- respects locations and local environments
If your behaviour disrupts the group, you may be asked to leave with no refund.
—
13. Liability
We aim to run all trips as described.
However:
- photography involves movement in real environments
- conditions can change
- travel is not risk-free
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- participation is at your own risk
- our liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking
We are not responsible for:
- travel disruption
- weather
- personal loss or damage
—
14. Complaints
If something is not right during a trip, tell us at the time so we can try to fix it.
If needed, follow up in writing after the trip.
—
15. Final note
If you give us enough notice, we’ll be flexible.
If you don’t, we can’t be – and these terms reflect that.
