On this one day workshop, Dan provided a unique insight into the world of a top celebrity and fashion photographer. Particpants took part in one portrait and one fashion shoot during the day, and learnt from Dan about his journey and approach as a photographer.
Dan is a London based fashion and celebrity photographer. He is regularly commissioned in the UK and US to shoot for advertising clients, magazines and celebrity agents. He has worked with Angelina Jolie, Madonna, David Beckham, Kate Winslet, Naomi Campbell and Jessica Ennis. Clients include Marks and Spencer, Nikon, Lacoste, ITV and T Mobile; and he’s been published in The Guardian, Hello, Heat, Glamour and Observer Magazine.
Dan started work as a photographer shooting news assignments in 1995. He now regularly shoots for some of the worlds biggest brands and works with some of the biggest stars in sport and entertainment.
The day began with Dan giving an insight into his career, telling the story of how he progressed to where he is today, and illuminating the day to day life of a top photographer.
Different shoots took place during the day, both portrait and fashion shoots. There was a full team working on the shoot including 2 models, hair and make up and stylist.
Each shoot gave people the opportunity to work with Dan, learn about his style and approach, and to shoot in order to gain experience and build their portfolios.
