Gods Own Junkyard is a warehouse in Walthamstow filled with hundreds of neon lights. The location has been used for fashion shoots and TV shows. Here's a quick video from our recent visit:
It's a large location with some truly unique light installations. As soon as you walk through the door you just want to get your camera out.
Unfortunately, when open to the public it's usually quite packed. But...
We have exclusive use of the location on the afternoon of Thursday 11 April for a group of photographers to join is and take part in a fashion and portrait photography session. Here are some images for inspiration (actually you will take more interesting photos that any of these):
Here are couple of videos by photographers who have used the location on similar shoots, they are not associated with 36exp, and are shown here to give you an idea of what this photography session will be like.
Our aim is to get you taking photos that could be used on fashion websites or high quality portrait editorial content in magazines.
We will use a mixture of available light and our own lighting.
We will have professional models, styled to compliment the venue, for photographers to work with on this session. There will be several set ups that you can photograph and you will spend time in different parts of the location, with different models and lighting to get a variety of images.
36exp staff will be on hand to assist as required.
This photography session takes place on Thursday 11th April at Gods Own Junkyard, Walthamstow, from 1pm until 5pm.
Places are limited.
