London Cityscape & Urban Landscape Photography Weekend
Our London Photography Weekend Workshop is your chance to spend a few days exploring one of the world's most photogenic capitals with a group of like-minded photographers. Whether you are visiting from out of town or a London local looking to discover fresh perspectives, this immersive weekend will elevate your urban landscape photography skills.
Join us to master camera techniques, dive into long-exposure photography, and capture London's iconic architecture at the perfect times of day.
Over the course of the weekend, we will classic shots of Tower bridge and Westminster, long exposures of the Shard and night photography of Canary Wharf. Plus a whole lot more inbetween!

What Will We Shoot & Learn?
We will focus heavily on urban landscape and cityscape photography, learning how to compose and frame,
You will master long-exposure techniques using ND filters to blur clouds and turn the Thames into glass.
We will shoot during the most dramatic times of day: dusk, dawn, blue hour, and night.
Discover how to spot unique compositions in crowded areas and look at famous landmarks with a fresh, artistic eye.

Who leads the London Photography Weekend?
The weekend workshop is led by Andrew Mason, a professional photographer and founder of 36exp.
He has lived in, and photographed, London for 30 years and knows the best places for the best photos and can get you there quickly.
He also knows some great places to eat!

London Photography Weekend Details
The London weekend includes photography guidance based around the following schedule:
- Friday night - meet at 7pm for a night photography session visiting 3 locations
- Saturday morning - capture sunrise at one of the best spots on the Thames
- Saturday daytime - shoot locations along the Thames form Canary Wharf to Westminster, taking in Westminster, the London Eye, Millennium Bridge, St Pauls, Shard and Tower bridge along the way.
- Saturday night - night photography at 3 more locations
- Sunday morning - dawn shoot at another location along the Thames
- Sunday daytime - photograph Battersea Power Station, West End, Barbican and the City of London.
- Sunday afternoon - finish at 5pm
Timings may change depending on conditions (clouds vs no clouds for example).
Alongside plenty of photography, we also know this is a busy agenda so we will make time for some downtime. We will organise places to eat if you wish to join us.
Included in the trip cost is tuition and guidance on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Travel to and within London, and accommodation, are not included.
Suggested flights if you are travelling especially for this photography trip:
Arrive in London before 6pm, ready to meet at on the Southbank at 7pm
Sunday: depart after 5pm
Suggested hotel if needed - Citizen M, Bankside.
If staying at the hotel, we will meet you there. If. you are local to London or staying elsewhere, we can meet you at Citizen M or coordinate meeting at the start locations for each day.
